Udaipur

After Jaipur and Agra, Udaipur is a relief. It is small, it is built around water, and almost everything worth seeing is within walking distance of the lake.

The City Palace is the largest in Rajasthan and takes a slow three hours. The rest of the day belongs to the lanes, the rooftops and a boat on Lake Pichola as the light goes.
